 Therapeutic Approaches

I'm fully trained in:
  • Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR):

    • This therapy can be particularly useful for trauma, phobias, and anxiety, and focuses on processing stressful events.

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS):

    • This therapy is considered a "parts" approach and has a wide range of uses, being beneficial to a wide range of clients. I utilize this approach with the majority of my clients.

  • Impact Therapy, which integrates the following therapies:

    • Rational-Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT): similar to other modern cognitive-behavioral therapies, such as CBT, REBT focuses on how thoughts impact emotions and behaviors.

    • Adlerian Therapy: an approach that is focused on understanding the unique individual in their social setting to unlock their full potential and meet their goals.

    • Transactional Analysis (TA) : a "parts" approach that focuses on how parts of people interact in their relationships.

    • Gestalt Therapy: another "parts" approach that focuses on present moment awareness to enable change and growth.

I also integrate theories and techniques from:
  • Attachment Theory

  • CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)

  • DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy)

  • MI (Motivational Interviewing)

  • Sensorimotor Psychotherapy

  • Sandtray
