Me.jpg

I grew up in Knoxville, receiving a BA in Psychology at UT Knoxville before completing an MA at West Virginia University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. A one-time music major and avid animal lover, I implement creative interventions and individualized treatment plans tailored to each individual client. I also enjoy gardening, spending time with my therapy dog Buster and cat Cricket, playing the violin, piano, or video games, and reading. We also recently added two goats to the family, which clients can also access and enjoy if they wish!

My biggest strengths as a counselor are my empathy and open-mindedness, as well as an ability to facilitate a comfortable therapeutic environment and relationship. I also have a wide range of experience, over 140 hours of additional post-graduate training, and a sense of passion for what I do. I particularly enjoy working with clients with complex symptoms who have had difficulty finding the right fit for a counselor in the past, or clients who might benefit from a more tailored and specialized approach to trauma therapy. I bring my gentle, sweet, and well-trained therapy dog Buster to most sessions, who helps clients by improving emotional regulation, healing attachment injuries, and improving their day.
